JOHNNY LEGEND PRESENTS a brand new retrospective featuring the early TV and
film-works of the late, great, multi-talented and unconventional screen legend
DENNIS HOPPER. The celebrated actor, Oscar-nominated filmmaker and noted visual
artist rose to fame in mid-century Hollywood as a co-star and friend to rebel
icon James Dean. From early 1955, we enjoy his very first three
appearances, as a tragic epileptic on the critically acclaimed series MEDIC,
then as a juvenile delinquent charged with murdering the "Mama's Boy" on a
riveting episode of PUBLIC DEFENDER, and a standout dramatic turn on THE LORETTA
YOUNG SHOW. Dennis appears as a latter-day beatnik on a wildly
entertaining episode of PETTICOAT JUNCTION. And, of course, Mr. Hopper's
landmark breakthrough starring role in Curtis Harrington's NIGHT TIDE,
completely uncut and restored, plus some classic previews including the
delinquent epic KEY WITNESS and the original NIGHT TIDE theatrical trailer.
